Its the golden rule: You give your time to others
before you ask them to give you their time.
If recognition and priority in his lifetime is what he wants then he has
to give in to the requests of those who would give him the recognition and priority.
If he wasn't concerned about priority, then he could simply publish the result and,
like Grothendieck, disappear. If he wasn't concerned about priority then he wouldn't
even need to publish a Report. He wouldn't even need to announce that he proved ABC.
None of this would matter if he wasn't concerned about priority and recognition in his lifetime.
