I'll show the steps.
6÷2(1+2)
6÷2(3)
This is where it gets tricky. What some people say is that you go left to right because they're division and multiplication. However, 2(3) is distribution, which means it would be labeled under "P" in PEMDAS.
6÷6 = 1
To avoid any confusion this problem can also be done another way conclusively proving that the answer is 1.
6÷2(1+2)
Distribute now: 2(1+2) = 2+4 = 6
6÷6 = 1
That is actually how this would be done, though those who say the answer is 9 have just made a simple mistake.
