・穿刺細胞診は通常は１センチ以上の小児の甲状腺病変や、成長が速い病変に対して推奨される
・ただし、以下の条件では１センチ以下でも細胞診を行うべきである。
１．頭部や頸部、喉部に外部放射線の照射履歴をもつ子ども
２．家族に甲状腺癌の患者をもつ子ども
３．病変の成長が激しい子ども
