１．福島事故時３月のアメリカの放射性ヨウ素１３１フォールアウト量は通常時の２１１倍だった。
２．ヨウ素１３１およびベーター核種の最大のフォールアウトは、太平洋側の５州で観測された。
３．この５州における新生児の先天性甲状腺機能低下症の数は、２０１０年の同時期（３月～１２月）と比較して１６％も上昇している。
４．他のアメリカ３６州では同じ現象は起きていない（むしろ３％減少している）。
５. この二集団のあいだの相違は、３月から６月の間で最も大きかった（２８％ P<0.04)

Just days after the meltdowns, I-131 concentrations in US precipitation was measured up to 211 times above normal.
Highest levels of I-131 and airborne gross beta were documented in the five US States on the Pacific Ocean.
The number of congenital hypothyroid cases in these five states from March 17-December 31, 2011 was
16% greater than for the same period in 2010, compared to a 3% decline in 36 other US States (p < 0.03).
The greatest divergence in these two groups (+28%) occurred in the period March 17-June 30 (p < 0.04).
