A DNA test proves that 13-year-old Alfie Patten ? who doesn’t look a day over eight ? isn’t the father
of a baby conceived by his 15-year-old girlfriend. The birth of newborn Maisie Roxanne, born February 9,
caused quite a commotion when The Sun tabloid showed pictures of 13-year-old Patten holding the infant
he thought was his child.
The paternity test came after other teenagers claimed to have had intercourse with the 15-year-old mother,
Chantelle Steadman. The results, reported in the Mirror, conclude that she wasn’t playing house exclusively
with Alfie, according to Jezebel. While many might assume that Alfie is relieved, he actually may be quite upset.
Alfie’s dad has said that while his son doesn’t understand the enormity of the situation, he was desperate to be
a responsible and devoted father. The dad reportedly told The Sun that Alfie was near his girlfriend’s side when
she was in the delivery room. "He could have shrugged his shoulders and sat at home on his PlayStation," he said.
"But he has been at the hospital every day."
Well, Alfie, guess it’s back to the video games.
