日米関係以外のアメリカ合衆国の外交政策 [アメリカ板]

今年になってから公表されたアメリカの防衛関係の文書をあさってみたら、まさに>>43の言う通りだった！
"Sustaining U.S. Global Leadership: Priorities for 21st Century Defense," published in January 2012
(「アメリカが世界の指導者であり続けるために―21世紀の防衛の優先懸案事項」、2012年1月発表)

> the growth of China's military power must be accompanied by greater clarity of its strategic intentions
> in order to avoid causing friction in the region. The United States will continue to make the necessary

中国は、急激に軍拡しているにも関わらず、軍拡の意図を明確に表明せず、アメリカは中国の曖昧な態度に
対して不信感を抱いているようだ。また、アジア太平洋地域をアメリカの勢力圏に留めておくためなら、必要な
投資は惜しまないことを表明している。

> the United States must maintain its ability to project power in areas in which our access and freedom
> to operate are challenged. *snip* States such as China and Iran will continue to pursue asymmetric

仮想敵国が接近や行動の自由を脅かしているため、アメリカは戦力投射を実施する能力を維持すると強調し、
具体的に、中国とイランを仮想敵国として名指ししている。
