/sbin/loarder で止まってしまう件 
 
I've scanned through this ng and found a solution to my original problem, 
which was I'm running RH 7.1 and have vmware workstation 2.0.4 installed 
fine.  Trying to install RH 7.1 on a virtual disk from cd but it kept 
hanging at /sbin/loader.  The solution was to disable my cd rom drive and 
boot from floppy, that got me past the hang but now when booting from floppy 
it asks for the drivers disk which I have.  When I put the drivers disk in 
it keeps asking for it and does not like it for some reason.  I've tried 
multiple copies and trys on the driver disk but with no success. 
 
Any ideas? 
You might try disconnecting and reconnecting the floppy drive from the 
VMWare menus.  This can force it to recognise a disk change.

FYI, was having the same problem (Win2000 SP1 & all updates installed). 
Pete's suggestion 
fixed the problem. 
1.) Copied boot.img from /images on the CD to a folder. 
2.) VM Config editor - changed A Drive floppy to image and selected the 
boot.img file. 
3.) Resarted VM  and now passed the /sbin/install hang.
