I would like to point out the fact that the effort for to give a 'Korean' new name for "Sea of Japan" have not been well-coordinated within Korean Peninsular.
North Korean and the South Korean governments are not wishing to use the same geographical name: the Northern name "East Sea of Korea" while the Southen "East Sea".
The use of either name would surely upset the other party.
Given precarious political situation the use of either of the names by a self-claimed neutral body might resulting the use of such a evidence for political propaganda against another Korean nation.
