Icelandic Modern Media Initiative
The Icelandic Modern Media Initiative (IMMI) is an Icelandic law intended to make the country a haven
for freedom of information, speech and expression. It creates a supportive and attractive jurisdiction for
the publication of investigative journalism and other threatened online media. It was adopted unanimously
by parliament on 16 June 2010.
