SEOUL, May 21 (Reuters) - South Korea intervened to support the won on
Wednesday after the currency dropped to a 2-1/2-year low as the government
grappled with rising foreign debt, accelerating inflation and slowing economic growth.
韓国政府が、増大する対外債務、加速するインフレ、減速する経済
に直面する中、通貨ウォンは水曜日２年半ぶりの安値をつけ、韓国政府は
通貨を支えるために介入を行った。
"The Moody's sovereign analyst was recently in Korea for the annual review
and we think the agency signalled the obvious, namely that its A2 sovereign rating
could be jeopardised if the growth of short-term external debt does not slow," he wrote.

最近、韓国を訪問したが、我々（＝ING）の考えるところでは
明確なシグナルを発したと思う。つまり短期外債の膨張が収まらない
かぎり韓国のA2格付けは引き下げの危機に見舞われるということだ」
と彼は報告書の中で書いた。
