さて、親愛なる>>174の勧めに従って、"Nick Berg"で検索してみました。
話の本筋からははずれますが、日本との比較で面白いので。

マスコミはサヨクで反米だ、と怒っておられます。この事件の扱いが捕虜虐待問題に
比べて小さかったり、虐待への報復として報道されるのがケシカランのだそうです。
しかし、ほんの少数の、正しい見出しを付けた新聞もあるのだそうです。

期待したのですが、残念ながら「ワシントンタイムズ」は採り上げられていませんでした。
で、
The bottom line is that the United States of America is fighting the world's news media
as well as Islamic totalitarianism. Until we understand that, we have no chance of winning.
アメリカ合衆国は「イスラム全体主義」および「世界のマスコミ」と戦っているということを
理解せねばならないのだそうです。
いやはや、どこの国にも同じようなことを言う人々はいるもんだと、大いに勉強になった次第です。
