Let's cut with the bull: in all of major league history,
Matsuzaka is the only starter with as many as 18 victories and
fewer than 169-1/3 innings. Does he really deserve credit for that?
Yes, Matsuzaka is hard to hit, but he walks way too many batters and
puts way too much strain on the bullpen. As far as No. 3 starters go,
he's fine. But he's pitching Game 2.

He pitched well at times, very well, but not often enough and not long into the games enough
and he benmefitted from a great run support, and quite frankly we just don't know what to expect from him.
