More than 2000 people gathered to protest against Fuji television network
for their intensive advertisement of Korean entertainment, which was being
criticized for its frequent and long hour coverage every day along with their
use of media bias, fabrication, and stealth marketing.
The protest began with a young celebrity being laid off inexplicably for his tweet
"I even feel they are a Korean tv network sometimes,
I turn it off whenever they start covering korean things"
This caught the attention of many internet users, where there was already a
widespread criticism towards Fuji network
Several issuses including
1.Suspected violation of legal limits on their foreign shareholder composition.
2. Abusing public broadcasting for their own sake and illegal advertisement
with their subsidary company owning a huge number of copyrights for Korean songs.
3. Media bias coverage on International sports event,
intentionally deleting scenes for national anthems,
and ceremonies intended to send warm messages for 3.11 Japanese disaster.
Laying off silver medalist commentator, who questioned korean Ice Skater Kim Yonas scores.
while using controversial posters seeming to insult the Japanese Ice skater Asada Mao.
It is assumed, more people will gather for the next protest on Aug 21st.
