Solaris 2.0＝SunOS 5.0+OpenWindows 3.0.1(X11/NeWS)
Solaris 2.1＝SunOS 5.1+OpenWindows 3.1(X11/NeWS)
Solaris 2.2＝SunOS 5.2+OpenWindows 3.2(X11/NeWS)
Solaris 2.3＝SunOS 5.3+OpenWindows 3.3(X11R5+DPS)
SunOS 4.xではSunOS 4.1.3からOpenWindows 3.0だけど
JLEなどのアジア言語版では地域化されたOpenWindows 2.0だった
ただしComposite Fontが使えるのはX11/NeWS 3.0以降だから
日本語NeWSprintはJLE版でもX11/NeWS 3.0がベースになってる
Solaris 2に話を戻すとSunViewやNeWSアプリが使えたのは2.2まで
2.3からX11/NeWSではなくX11R5+Display PostScriptに変更された
NeWSは失ったけどX11としては良くなったから当時は嬉しかったな
