パフォーマンスの点では、Gitは非常に速いです。
ほかのOS上ではMercurialの方が速いものの、少なくともLinux上ではいくつかの場合Mercurialよりも早いです。
しかしながら、ウィンドウズ上では、Gitのパフォーマンスと提供するサポートの一般水準は(おそらく周辺のソフトウェアのことを指すex:TortoiseHgなど)、
書いている現時点で、Mercurialには遠く及びません。
