In other words, since I've used the net (1995-1996), I've seen
emoticons used before there was a concept of wapanese. I don't
think they invented it, although some like ^_^ or XD and whatnot
are prominent because many people on the net these days are teenage
girls and/or weeaboos and/or idiots.
