I'm from Hollywood, and I'll tell you one thing that is true
and will always be: anything and everything done in Hollywood
is for money. Trust me, my friend and I who are fans of Japanese
films roll our eyes and make fun of the Hollywood remakes.
The only reason Hollywood makes Japanese films is because they're
just stealing a story, Americanizing it and making it mainstream,
and putting it in theaters because horror films have been the fad
here. So, please don't think that's because we wouldn't watch a
subtitled film (we do), the industry does it to make money. I've
seen plenty of films in their native language with subtitles in a
theater.
