To me, it felt like she broke our friendship by doing the things she
did, and having her father call to threaten me hasn't left me with
a very good impression of her parents either. After talking with her
mom and dad back and forth, I can tell you her parents arent decent
or classy people at all. She invited me on a trip to ditch me and
treat me the way she did to get rid of me, and I feel like I don't
owe her for that. However, I did pay a month's rent of the apartment where
we both stayed in Yoyogi, as well as much of her food, train tickets,
and every other little thing while we were there, so it isn't as if
I had a free ride.
It would be correct if you said "unpleasant aftertaste on both sides."
Don't be sorry, your English is much better than a lot of Americans. :P
