HP's approach to "borderless" printing is, in a word, stupid. Instead of "borderless,"
they should call it "oversize the image and crop the edges." While I see why such
an approach may make sense for novice users who don't understand that
the proportions of their digital images don't quite match the proportions of the paper
they're printing to, for someone who is used to preparing files in Photoshop,
it's completely frustrating. I spent hours trying to figure out how to get around
this bug only to learn that it's a feature that cannot be removed.
Overall, unless you like pulling out your hair over prints that look like they spent an hour
in a dishwasher, I strongly recommend staying away from this printer.
HPのフチ無し印刷は、まぁなんだ、アホだ。本当のフチ無しにする代わりに、連中は
画像を拡大し用紙のフチで切り落とされるようにした。元データの比率と用紙の比率が
合ってないなんてことがわからない初心者にとっては良いだろうけど、Photoshopから
印刷するような俺様みたいな玄人にとっては、このアホ仕様はアタマに来るぜ。
俺は何時間もこのアホ仕様と格闘した。結局この「仕様」を取り除くことはできない
ってことがわかっただけだった。
皿洗い機で１時間揉まれたような印刷結果に頭をかきむしりたくないのであれば、
このプリンタには近づかない方が吉だぜ。

実はEPSON/CANONのフチ無しもこの仕様。HPよりも正確に拡大するから、余白が出たり
大幅に欠落したりすることがないだけ。元データに忠実に印刷したいなら、どのメーカーの
プリンタでもフチ無しにはするべきではない。
