fedoraでもそうなってたのは知りませんでした！
しばらくXと縁遠い感じだったので、ちょっとした浦島ですね。
xorg自体がそういう意向なのかあ…。
自動認識がもうちょっとイケてればいいんだけど、
普通書かないとダメな状況ですよね…。
ちょっと自分でも背景が知りたくて調べてみたところ、

でこんなの見つけた。

Yeah, known bug in xserver-xorg's postinst in 5.0.2.
直るにしても直らないにしても、とりあえずxorg.confに書けばおｋなのか。
