Posting from Ecolinux 10.04 LiveCD!
Why are Japanese input methods unavailable?
I set the language to Japanese using 'Language Support'
but I still can't type Japanese characters...
The keyboard arrangement is weird too.
I'm surprised to see Ecolinux now uses LXDE.
No trash bin?
I've heard PCMan ver 2 has the feature of trash bin,
but it seems Ecolinux uses an older version of it.
To make matters worse, I cannot find a menu item
to let me create a bootable USB drive.
Anyway, I won't use Ecolinux unless all the issues
above are solved.

It may be worth a try.
But if UNR is not the 'lite version' you mentioned,
I'd appreciate it if you could tell me what it is!
I'm not going to stick with Ecolinux if there is something better.
