Yuzuru Hanyu (JPN) has performed the first clean quad loop in an official ISU competition.
Hanyu landed the jump successfully in the Short Program at the ISU Challenger Series event
Autumn Classic International in Montreal (CAN) on September 30, 2016.
The referee of the Men’s event, Jean Senft (CAN), confirmed
that the jump was performed cleanly.
The Technical Panel with Technical Controller Daniel Delfa (ESP) and
Technical Specialists Cory Sutherland (CAN) and David Kirby (USA)
recognized the jump as fully rotated.
