The central bank said it expected the measures to help reduce overseas borrowings and at
the same time increase demand for foreign currencies to pay back loans borrowed in the
past for non-authorised purposes.
韓銀は、この措置により海外からの借り入れを削減することを期待しており、同時に
過去において許可されてない目的（＝投機ないしは運転資金）での外貨借り入れ
の返済が進むことを期待している。
It said foreign-currency lending to local recipients totalled an outstanding US$44.1 billion at
the end of June this year and that about half of that would have to be paid back when they
reach maturity. - Reuters
韓銀は６月末時点で、現地での受取人が外貨で借り入れた額は４４１億ドルにも
のぼるとし、半分ほどは満期を迎えた時点で支払いが必要となる。
