The court heard the woman was answering a mobile telephone call from her boyfriend when
Lee grabbed her around the neck and forced her into a cubicle and locked the door.
“You have sex with Aussie boys, why not Korean boys?” Lee asked the woman as he held
her by the throat on the floor and removed her jeans and underwear.
“She was unable to scream because of the force,” Mr Nathan said of the stranglehold.
“He was being extremely rough.”
The court heard Lee twice bit his victim hard on the stomach when she tried to resist, and
refused to give back her underwear after raping her.
She managed to escape with the help of another man who had been drinking with their group
that night.
“It was a persistent attack,” Mr Nathan said.
