they give us the opportunity to be needed.
最後の3行目のところがわかりません。
このto不定詞がthe opportunityにかかる形容詞句になるのはわかります。
ただその時の意味上の主語って意味的にus(=we)だと思うんですが、
SVO1O2の文型でto不定詞の意味上の主語がO1になりうることなんてあるんですか？
forとかで明示してないからtheyになるかなと思っても、
意味的に成り立たないから？？になってしまったんですが・・・
