You don't look old enough to remember this, but I can recall when food didn't used
to come with a 'sell by' date stamped on the package. The only way to tell if something
had gone off, was to sniff it, squeeze it, look at it or as a last resort, taste it. The
youth of today, don't know how to do any of that. They go by the label. If it says, 'out
of date' they throw it away - even though it may be perfectly fine. And if it is 'in
date'? They eat it, no matter what state it is in. Don't worry about it being 'too late'
for something, this weekend. If it feels right, it is right.
