However, the provision to regulate the order of kinship or basic system of inheritance has been the compulsory provisions which everyone has to be applied with unless such provisions are revised, so we have lived in the 20th century with the regulation from the patriarchal custom of 19th century. This is the main reason of women who has dedicated and contributed for the establishment & revision of family law, since they have been suffered from sexism & impersonal treatment under the patriarchal family system. In summary, one might say that the establishment & revision history of family law from 1950s to 1980s has been the course to eliminate the premodern elements(a sexist provision, a provision against personality of individual, and a provision suppresses the freedom of individual) against the individual freedom & equality. In this context, the revision history of family law is the history of women"s human rights movement.
