インターネット上の世論調査を発表、軍事費について６９・２％が「増やすべきだ」と答えた。
「潜在敵」としては米軍（６０・９％）、自衛隊（２６・３％）を挙げ、計８７・２％に上った。
中国軍の羅援少将は結果を受け、日米に対し「中国民衆の機嫌を損なったことを反省して、自身
の東アジア戦略を練り直すべきだ」と述べた。
調査は１日に始まり、３日までに約２万人が回答したという。
中国軍の課題としては「早急に実戦経験を積むこと」（３０・１％）、「武器改良」（２２・３％）との声が
多かった。陸海空各軍と戦略ミサイル部隊「第２砲兵部隊」の中で増強すべきは「海軍」が７０・７％。
親しい友人が入隊志願した際には「支持する」が６３・８％だった。

にした。WSJの中国関連の報道を監視するためだったとみられる。
WSJのほか、ニューヨーク・タイムズやその他の報道機関のネットワークへの侵入も報告されている。この結果、
中国の米国メディアに対するスパイ行為が幅広い対象に及んでいることがうかがえる。
今回の事件に詳しい人物によると、ハッカーがWSJのコンピューターシステムに侵入した経路の1つは、WSJの北京
支局を経由していた。

ついて、他人が博士論文を代筆した疑惑があると報じた。非公表の博士論文のコピーを入手したと

国営通信、新華社が公表している経歴によると、習氏は福建省の省長なども務めていた１９９８～
２００２年に清華大人文社会学院に在籍し、法学博士号を取得。
タイムズ紙や香港各紙によると、論文のコピーとされる文書は「中国の農村市場化の研究」との題名
で全１６１ページ。だが、習氏が独自に研究したように見受けられる部分はなく、何人かが政府報告書

Analysis of Xi’s unpublished dissertation for the degree, a copy of which was handed to
The Sunday Times in Hong Kong last week, lends weight to claims among Chinese academics that he
used others to help with his thesis. The contents of the work, A Tentative Study on China’s Rural
Marketisation, also appeared to have little to do with the discipline of law.
Critics of the Communist party allege that Xi, 60, was granted the post-graduate doctorate by the prestigious
Tsinghua University merely to burnish his credentials for political leadership.
