Not many Japanese players make the breakthrough into European football, but Keisuke Honda has made it in a big way.
Undoubtedly one of the stars of the World Cup, Honda has had 20 caps for Japan. His vision and beautiful left foot was clear to see in South Africa
and it’s sure to have increased his market value. He is very effective just off the striker but can play anywhere in midfield too. In December 2009
he moved from Dutch club VVV Venlo to CSKA in an undisclosed deal. Still only 24 years-old he has a lot to offer and could be another to profit from
the emergence of Russian football.
