I saw an education-minded mother making a child under school age learn English words by heart
and complimenting the little child everytime he memorized a new word.
あの学習方法じゃあ、挨拶すらできない。親が必要な言い回しを知っていなければ、意味がないと思う。
The result will be that he will not able to even exchange greetings in English.
What is required for his mother to do is
to teach the expressions which are necessary to communicate in English.
来年からの小学校の英語必修化も同じようにならなければいいが。
As you know, English is going to be a compulsory subject in elementary schools next year.
I hope it doesn't follow the same way.
