LSU baseball team's 7-6 victory against Texas in the College World Series on Monday
set a New Orleans ratings record for ESPN, according to the network's public relations department.
The game had a 17.4 rating in the New Orleans market, beating the old local mark of 12.3 which was set during
the Tulane vs. Nebraska game in 2001.
The game drew a 11.8 in Austin, Texas, the home of the University of Texas.
Nationally, the game drew a 1.5 rating, which is a little above the 1.3 norm the network gets this time of year.
