Poland to cut debt issuance ahead-DepFinMinister
WARSAW, Aug 31 (Reuters) - Poland will lower its debt issues in
September and later in the year after several successful bond
tenders ensured solid liquidity and the economic outlook improves,
a deputy finance minister told Reuters.
'In September, we plan a cut in debt issuance, both when it comes to
treasury bills and bonds. Compared to August, this will be a slight
decrease,' said Dominik Radziwill in a weekend interview after data
published last Friday showed Polish GDP grew faster than expected in
the second quarter of the year.
'In the fourth quarter, we plan a significant decrease of debt issuance
because of lower borrowing needs and a big liquidity cushion, particularly
after the recent successful tenders,' he said.
