I’ve always told my friends, the Filipinos are like the Latinos of Asia.
I can relate with the language more since Cebuano/Visayan languages have more Spanish influence.
Tagalog, has it’s own word for door whereas the Cebuano for door is puertahan derived from puerta ☺ Getting immersed into my Mexican boyfriend’s family was not difficult at all.
I can just imagine if Chavacanos from Zamboanga would travel there! ?
