The Mucha Foundation is delighted to be participating in the exhibition
Alphonse Mucha - His Life and Art. Following the death of Jiri Mucha,
son of the artist, the Mucha Foundation was established in 1992 by his
family, for the purpose of promoting and preserving Mucha's artistic
heritage. The Mucha Foundation has in this way taken on the mission
of Jiri Mucha, whose single handed efforts on behalf of his father's
artistic reputation are largely responsible for Mucha's popularity today.
In japan he was admirably assisted in this mission by the considerable
interest and support of the late Mr. Kimio Doi.
