動物愛護が進んでいるオーストラリアでも猫を食べるようになってきたみたいです。

"The Northern Territory Health Department says it is not ideal for people
to eat feral cat but it is not illegal.
One of the entries in this year's Alice Springs bush food competition is a
cat stew that is flavoured with native fruits.
The Territory's Director of Environmental Health, Xavier Schobben, says while
people are free to eat cat, there are legal obstacles to selling it.
