Seoul Suspects North Korean Involvement, but US Doubts It

The United States, which has better intelligence-gathering, surveillance and reconnaissance assets on the Korean
Peninsula, has remained more cautious about North Korean involvement.
米国は朝鮮半島の諜報情報の収集や監視について韓国政府を上回る能力を持つが、この事件についての北朝鮮
の関与については韓国政府よりも懐疑的な立場をとっている。
``I don't think there's a way to determine that at this point, given that the boat in question, I think, is submerged,''
Geoff Morrell, spokesman for the Department of Defense, told reporters Tuesday in Washington. ``I think they
have some more work to do to determine that.''
