This shocking footage shows the moment a student was engulfed in flames
when a barbecue restaurant's grill-at-the-table gimmick went horribly wrong.
At first, it appears to be a quiet day at the Haorizi restaurant in Wenzhou,
China, as two students share a meal with a waitress working behind the bar.
But disaster strikes as 20-year-old friends Xiao Qian and Xiao Qing beckon
over waitress Xiao Shan, 18, to add more fuel to the grill at their table.
Flames burst from the barbecue after liquid is poured directly over the grill,
and Xiao Qian is left writhing on the floor in agony as she is engulfed by flames.
All three were rushed to hospital, with Xiao Qian suffering 78% burns and
remaining in a critical condition.
