Through the 1990s, the North Korean government ran the production of opium, meth and other drugs for Office 39.
But the North Korean government has largely gone out of the drug business,
according to the U.S. State Department's 2013 International Narcotics Control Strategy Report.
1990年代を通して、北朝鮮は阿片、覚醒剤、その他薬物の製造を「オフィス39」と題して政府主導で展開していた。
しかしながら、米国国務省の2013年度「国際麻薬対策報告書」によれば、そうした北朝鮮の薬物製造ビジネスはほぼ壊滅状態となっている。
