Dangerous Cartoons Act
From April 6th 2010 it will be illegal to possess “non-photographic visual
depictions of child sexual abuse” in England and Wales. Thousands of fans of
Japanese anime, hentai and graphic novels face a maximum three years’
imprisonment and a place on the Sex Offenders Register for possessing
sexually themed cartoons.
