Honored to have been a teammate of one of the best to ever play the game of baseball. 
Even cooler for me was what Ichiro said to me shortly after the second pic... 
It was the first time playing the Marlins after being traded over to the Mets, 
and Ichi saw me and ran over during batting practice and gave me a big hug. 
He got a real serious, but sincere face and he said, 
"AJ, I miss you. 
Every day I would go into the weight room to prepare for the game, you were in there preparing as well, 
and now when I go into the weight room, you're not there!! 
So, I want to let you know how impressed I was with your preparation and care for the game. 
You were one of my favorite teammates to play with. Keep it going, and good luck." 
Then his face and demeanor changed back to the master focus he embodied so well and ran off to get ready for the game. 
I was in awe. 
I had no idea he paid attention to me like that! 
Which is why I let him get a hit off of me when I faced him…Just kidding. 
Anyway, farewell to the GOAT.
