Traditionally, for Japanese students, the way to study English has been to translate English into Japanese for a long time; on the contrary, foreign English schools prohibit students from using an English-Japanese dictionary. That is because communication in English does not have to be translated; sometimes, it could be an obstacle.
Therefore, people should not use an English-Japanese dictionary when they read English books.

The revised version
Traditionally, Japanese students have studied English by translating it into Japanese for a long time. In contrast, foreign English schools prohibit students from using English-Japanese dictionaries. This is because communication in English does not necessarily require translation; sometimes, it can be an obstacle. Therefore, people should avoid using English-Japanese dictionaries when reading English books.

I know a lot of people talk about utility
in using a dictionary written in the language
you are learning then as you do.
But, haven’t you thought how heavy the burden
you have when you use such a dictionary when you read books quite a few words you don’t know
appear?
It’s sure it’s better to learn a language in a country it is used, not even saying the best way to learn English is to go to France and to learn it in a language school there, which is a kind of a joke widely prevailing in this 5ch.
But, in considering about costs in doing so,
I feel like taking easier ways.
Using E-J dictionary is such a way to me.

You presented two problems. First, if readers encounter many unknown words while reading a book, it may be because it exceeds their vocabulary capacity. In such cases, they should switch to a book at a lower level.
Second, I have never advocated studying English abroad.
What I mean to say is that communicating in English does not require translation. You, too, are misinterpreting my intention.
The primary reason Japanese people cannot speak English is that they think in Japanese, not English, when they attempt to say it.
For these reasons, I believe people should use an English-to-English dictionary when reading an English book.
