人の英作にはレスせず、和文にのみレスする形の方が荒れないんじゃないかと思う

単語単位の英訳が載ってれば最低限和英辞典の範疇だけど、英作文辞典はその他の作文に必要な情報があるって感じでは？
At least it is in the category of a Japanese-English dictionary if it contains word-by-word English translations.
But an English composition dictionary has other information necessary for composition, don't you think?

Dictionaries containing the English equivalents of Japanese words word for word may be called Japanese-English ones.
Dictionaries for English composition, on the other hand, seem to contain information that you need
for other kinds of writing, I guess.

For the moment, you can begin by letting some post some casual original Japanese text
while allowing others to translate them.

In the meantime, I think that if you take care not to comment on translations given by others
and stick to responding to original Japanese text alone, the thread will be more likely to remain peaceful.

ちなみに「象は鼻が長い」は、英語と似たように日本語も"主語＋述部"で構成されると言う解釈が主流だった時代に、"主題＋説明"とするべきだと真っ向から叩きつけられた例文
現在、外人向け日本語教育は"主題＋説明"式が主流

Not many people write in English writing threads.
All the threads are either in Japanese only or like a copy and paste of a grammar book, which is boring.
