As I said before somewhere on 5-channel, I think I've read about 1,000 books in English
(assuming that each book is 300 pages long), but still I feel that I don't understand the language
well enough. I do write in it far better than most other Japanese and can explain
the meaning of different paragraphs to my fellow English learners better than most other
Japanese, but still I'm not satisfied. I must definitely read another 1,000 books in English
(again, aassuming that each book is 300 pages long).
Toru Matsumoto said at the age of about 50 that he'd read 2,000 books in English but
added that he should have read 5,000 books. I strongly suspect that he was saying
what he really believed.
I may be making numerous careless mistakes in my writing, but I don't want to
stick to each minor error, so I'm uploading this post without trying to re-read and correct it.
