So many people in the comments going "Just make them wipe out Mordor no problem"
please keep in mind that the Oathbreakers were ghosts. Sauron specialized in necromancy and
dark magic to control the dead (thats why the Nazgul and Barrow Wights deferred to Sauron).
Bringing an army of spectres to Mordor would have been suicide because the moment they were close enough,
Saurons magic would easily subvert their will and have them slaughter the armies of Man.
What Aragorn did was use his brain and his honor instead of going
"Lets bring undead to fight against the guy who specializes in controlling the undead".
One of Saurons many titles was The Necromancer after all
