I don't intend to stay in this thread forever. I just wanted to have a place
where I can write about whatever I have in my head.
There exist threads with similar purposes on this board. If you want to chat
with other people, the Chat in English thread is for you. Also, somebody
created a thread titled
【日記】英作文をひたすら上げるスレ【課題等】 the other
day.
I don't have much connection with the world, and sometimes loneliness and
anxiety become a problem. It affects my daily activities. I thought maybe
writing things in a public place, where people can see if they want, might help
ease such feelings.
Maybe I should create an account on Twitter. But I just want to write things
randomly, and me doing so would annoy other people on there. I want to mingle
with English speaking people, but my English is a bit short of starting to do
so, I think.

In terms of the format, I think 5ch type systems best suit my purpose. On
Reddit they create a new thread every time then want to say something. It's not
for self-talks. On Twitter, they follow people, and if someone writes random
and meaningless stuff like this frequently, it messes up the timeline of those
who follow the person. Having no followers at all on there would be like
shouting into the void. I would want to write decent stuff on Twitter if I were
to use it.

I have been thinking of looking into 5ch-like websites in the English
community, but I don't like 4chan or 8ch. There seem to be lots of other chans.
Should I look into such chans? For some reason, they don't have many people and
most chans are very dispopulated.

On November 17, 2018, it was announced that the site would be split into two,
with the work-safe boards moved to a new domain, 4channel.org, while the NSFW
boards would remain on the 4chan.org domain. In a series of posts on the topic,
Nishimura explained that the split was due to 4chan being blacklisted by most
advertising companies, and that the new 4channel domain would allow for the
site to receive advertisements by mainstream ad providers.
I didn't know this.

I have been reading a book, and it has been taking time. Maybe it will take
about ten days to finish this book.
If reading only a book takes as much time as this, I wonder how many books I
will be able to read in my life.
Moreover, I'm reading an easy book to read, just as a practice to read.

I wonder how many Japanese people, Japanese learners of English living in Japan
to be more precise, read English books.
How come we have such a small population on this board considering it's said
