すでに知っているかもしれないけど、他の人たちのために一応は述べておくと、
thereof の there はここでは that の代用としてここで使われていて、
thereof は "of that" を意味する。
この thereof は、ドイツ語では davon と言うけど、この davon は da- + von だけど、
da とは there で von は of だ。だから davon はまさに thereof とぴったり対応している。
このドイツ語は英語の thereof と同じく "of that" という意味だ。
同じように、hereof は "of this" を意味している。whereof は "of what" を意味している。
whereof はドイツ語の wovon に対応するが、wo (= where) + von (= of, from) というわけだ。
同じような例としては、
herefrom (= from this), therefrom (= from that), wherefrom (from where) があり、
これらもドイツ語の類似表現と対応する。
herein (in this), therein (in that), wherein (in what) も同じ。
その他、類似表現は実にたくさんあるけど、現代では主に法務関係の文献（法律や契約書）によく出てくる。
