IBAF announces inaugural 15U Baseball World Championship

Executing the changes to the tournament calendar, which was approved and announced during the XXVI IBAF Ordinary Congress in Dallas, Texas in early December, the International Baseball Federation is introducing a new tournament in 2012.
The inaugural IBAF 15U Baseball World Championship will be held from August 16 to 26, 2012 in Chihuahua,
Mexico. 16 teams will participate. If there are less than 16 submissions, IBAF will choose an appropriate number and format for a successful tournament.
Interested national federations are invited to participate, completing the attached form and sending it to the IBAF Office no later than February 25, 2012.
To encourage the participation, there will be no participation fee to be paid by the competing teams.

The IBAF 15U Baseball World Championship is going to be one of three tournaments organized by the International Baseball Federation in 2012.
The V IBAF Women’s Baseball World Cup will be played from August 10 to 19, 2012 in Edmonton, Canada, the XXV IBAF 18U Baseball World Championship from August 30 to September 8, 2012 in Seoul, Korea.
