エフェクターの取り扱い説明書に書いてあった文です。
1,2,4行目はなんとなく意味がわかるのですが、3行目がよくわからず理解に苦しんでおります。(翻訳サイトにかけても意味の通る文になりませんでした。)

の単語はそのままで結構ですので、どうにか意味の通る日本語に訳していただけないでしょうか？

In this mode the Release control sets a nominal release time while the automation algorithm shortens or lengthens the release according to the current transients content in the signal.
