We can't change the past and later we can't pretend that it didn't happen in the past.

I mean the mixture of both Waiszacker address and LET BYGONES BE BYGONES.
I take good part from both of them. You might think that's a contradiction but it's not important, that's not the point.
Future- oriented, that's what I want to say here.

過去に目を閉ざしてはならない、と。そのようなひとは現在に対しても盲目となってしまうと。
ではあるけれども、だ。「過去を水に流す」「終わったことは終わったこと」というのもぼくの信条だ。この２つの折衷案、良い所どりだね。
未来志向になれるというね。ヴァイツゼッカーの過去を大事にするということと、過去に拘り過ぎず未来を見据えるということ、これによりぼくはヴァイツゼッカー師を超えたと言えよう。(*^^*)
