CNN’s Jake Tapper has found the source of Trump’s bizarre ‘bowling ball test’

“It’s the bowling ball test,” he told attendees at the Missouri event.
“They take a bowling ball from 20 feet up in the air and drop it on the hood of
the car.”
“If the hood dents, the car doesn’t qualify,” he said, before disparaging
the “test” as “horrible.”

When researching to find out whether or not any example existed of the “bowling
ball test,” Tapper said that his team was only able to find a single one ?
as a gag from an old segment from the Late Show when David Letterman was still hosting.
“It’s possible this is what [Trump] was referring to,” Tapper noted.
“I don’t know.”
